PS Vita Hardware May Get Changed Before Release

Already showcased at E3, Sony wowed us with its new portable, the Playstation Vita. However, what we saw on that day may well not be the final build of the device, with a Sony reprsentative claiming that the hardware itself is still subject to changes over the next few months.

The main object of concern is the positioning of some of the buttons, with Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studio boss  Shuhei Yoshida claiming that this version is "basically the final version" but that Sony is working closely with third-party agencies to work out if the button positioning on the device is as comfortable as it could be.

Talking to Famitsu, Yoshida also elaborated on how the rear touch pad of the device nearly didn't make the cut, as Sony was initially sceptical on whether it would actually be a useful addition or not. Turns out they changed their mind though, as the rear touch-pad is very much a part of the final build.
